Multi-Purpose Clerk - Bakery (Cake Decorator) – 1020 Al Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Position at The Save Mart Companies in new South Lake Tahoe store opening March 2026. The 38,000 sq. ft. store will blend Fresh Forward design and community focus.

• Operate the check stand, memorize PLU codes, and perform Point‑of‑Sale (POS) and inventory activities.
• Receive, inspect, and log produce and bakery items, trim/wrap, stock, rotate, and merchandise to maintain freshness.
• Provide customer service at the bakery counter, take special orders for cakes and party trays, and operate bakery equipment such as ovens, proofers, slicers, and mixers.
• Maintain clean work areas, follow safe food handling procedures, and comply with all store policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including operating a forklift if authorized.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 months of related experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency, self‑motivation, and proactive initiative.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 40 lbs without assistance, and perform other frequent physical movements.

Hourly range: $16.75 – $26.00. Full‑time. Flexible retail hours.
