The Volunteer – Auxiliary role provides support services to Barton and the community through a variety of programs and fundraising initiatives.

• Provides consistently exceptional care at all times.
• Greets and escorts patients and visitors at the Hotel front desk to the appropriate department.
• Delivers flowers, cards and personal essentials to patient rooms.
• Visits with patients on the Med Surg/Ortho floor and provides items from the Comfort Cart.
• Assists with community blood drives.
• Places orders for baby’s footprints for the recognition wall.
• Assists at Christmas Cheer with food organization and distribution.
• Responds to the needs of the department by performing other duties, as necessary.

• Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.

• Occasionally must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
