NOW HIRING – Field Operations Mechanical Technician I/IISouth Tahoe Public Utility District is seeking a Field Operations Mechanical Technician I/II. Under supervision, this position operates and maintains water wells, booster and sewer pump stations, reclaimed and potable water storage tanks, control valves, and related equipment. Maintains operational and repair records.

• Mechanical Tech I: $88,204 – $112,574 annually
• Mechanical Tech II: $72,070 – $91,982 annually

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Field Operations Mechanical Tech I requires one-year of related field experience;
  Field Operations Mechanical Tech II requires three years’ experience.
• Field Operations Mechanical Tech I requires the ability to obtain Certification Grade D1 Water Distribution Operator and Grade T1 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification from the State of California, within thirty-six (36) months from hire date.
• Requires a valid, current, Class B drivers’ license, with Hazardous Materials, Tanker, and Air Brake Endorsements (or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire).
