Our 2026 Lake Tahoe positions offer outdoor enthusiasts the unique opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful alpine environments in the country. As a Gate Attendant, you’ll play a vital role in preserving and sharing the natural beauty of this iconic region.

Summary

The Gate Attendant is responsible for providing excellent service to guests, agencies, and staff at assigned gatehouses or kiosks. The position requires accurate and timely handling of cash and credit transactions, checking in reservations, greeting guests, and effectively communicating park rules, services, and features.

Responsibilities
  • Serve customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Operate cash register and process credit and debit card transactions.
  • Check in all guest reservations and day‑use visitations.
  • Answer phones and help guests make reservations.
  • Communicate knowledge of park rules, regulations, and services.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly gatehouse or kiosk.
  • Assist with other related tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 to drive) and have access to reliable transportation.
  • One year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Available for duty during weekends, holidays, and peak visitation periods.
  • Genuine concern for guests’ experience and frequent public interaction.
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Expected weekly hours: 35–40 hours per week with potential fluctuations based on business and staffing needs.
