Role OverviewA Shift Leader supports the management team in running the assigned location, ensuring exceptional service, quality food, and a clean, compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coach staff to deliver amazing customer service.
- Produce high‑quality food.
- Deliver the Jersey Mike’s experience.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Follow the Learning Management System Training Program.
- Develop others for career growth.
- Enforce policies and procedures.
- Participate in local and national marketing initiatives.
- Build sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation practices.
- Be certified in all four positions of the restaurant.
- Communicate effectively.
- Act with a sense of urgency.
- Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance unless a medical notation applies.
- Work 38–40 hours per week.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Communicate issues to the GM/AGM/DM.
- Lead by example in food quality, customer interaction, and personal presentation (clean, fitted, pressed uniform).
- Maintain a restaurant noticeably cleaner than others.
- Work in a fast‑paced, team‑driven atmosphere.
- Multi‑task with a sense of urgency.
- Interface with customers and provide an exceptional experience.
- Understand accountability and integrity.
- Assume key holder responsibilities.
- Perform all tasks related to opening and closing of the store.
- Know how to bake bread and perform all prep.
- Manage and lead a crew of 2–5 people.
- Be proficient in slicing.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of QSR experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer.
- Food Handler certification (Serve Safe).
- Reliable transportation.
