Underwriting Process Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated, Excel-driven Underwriting Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. This role helps turn data into action by analyzing underwriting workflows and performance metrics to drive efficiency, consistency, and better outcomes. Partnering cross-functionally with Underwriting, Operations, and Finance, this analytical role offers the opportunity to make a real, visible impact on how our organization operates and grows.

• Analyze underwriting workflows, data, and turnaround times to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Build and maintain Excel-based models, trackers, and reports to support underwriting operations and decision-making
• Develop standardized underwriting templates, tools, and process documentation
• Support automation and system enhancements by translating business needs into clear requirements
• Track key underwriting metrics and support operational reporting
• Assist with audits and compliance support related to underwriting processes

• 2+ years of experience in underwriting, underwriting operations, or healthcare operations analytics
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, data analysis)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience working in a regulated healthcare or insurance environment
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
