As a Medication Aide - Med Tech, you perform treatments and administer medications to assisted living residents under the direction of a licensed nurse, maintaining dignity and privacy while protecting their rights. You enthusiastically assist with personal needs, help residents maintain independence and overall well‑being, and document all services delivered and any significant changes in condition.
In addition to medication administration, you are responsible for changing simple dressings for non‑infected chronic or postoperative conditions, providing skin care, and treating minor skin problems. You are occasionally delegated other tasks by the licensed nurse on duty. This vital role provides exceptional care for our senior residents, and you feel good knowing you are doing your part to make a difference!
QUALIFICATIONS- A current caregiver certification
- Ability to complete our designated training program as prescribed by the Wellness Director or the designated LPN or supervisor
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and employees
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stand/walk for long periods of time
- Physical ability to assist in transferring residents and lifting people
- Willingness to work with seniors
