PositionSummary
The Tier Inserter Builder is responsible for assembling, fitting, and testing the Tier Inserter system used in A‑frame style baler machines. This role builds and integrates the mechanical, electrical, and light‑fabrication components that thread wire through the machine and complete the tie cycle during operation. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical wiring experience, and the ability to work across multiple trades to ensure a reliable, high‑quality inserter assembly.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble Tier Inserter units from drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform light fabrication tasks, including cutting, drilling, grinding, and fitting small components.
- Install and align motors, switches, actuators, and sensors.
- Wire electrical components, including limit switches, proximity sensors, motors, and control connections.
- Test mechanical and electrical functions to ensure proper wire insertion and tie sequence.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Verify quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in machine assembly or equipment building.
- Basic electrical wiring skills.
- Light fabrication skills.
- Ability to read drawings and schematics.
- Able to lift 35 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with balers or industrial machinery.
- Familiarity with Tier Inserter systems.
- Basic welding or machining knowledge.

- Works well independently and in teams.
