The role involves delivering physical therapy care to assigned patients and documenting care in the hospital records. The Physical Therapist acts as a consultant to clinics, supports staff, students, and families, and may rotate through various clinical areas.

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as a Physical Therapist
• Current CPR certification if required
• New graduates to 2 years of experience; expected to progress to a Clinician II within two years

• Previous experience at a similar facility

• Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy;
  Masters or Doctorate preferred

• Patient evaluation and care planning
• Discharge planning and equipment ordering
• Participation in rounds and conferences
• Supervisory duties of assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with weekend and holiday rotations. The position primarily involves acute care with physical demands including lifting, bending, walking, climbing, and reaching. The environment is fast-paced and may involve noisy settings and multiple priorities.
