Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care hospital experience and an active VA or compact state license for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Floating within therapy scope may be required
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience required
- Responsibilities include providing rehabilitation services to acute care patients within a community hospital environment
- Must adhere to a drug and tobacco-free workplace policy
- Facility enforces a natural nail policy
- All new hires will be assigned specialty modules during orientation, to be completed by the end of orientation week
- Travelers and permanent staff must not have been employed by the facility for at least 12 months before assignment eligibility
- No guaranteed holidays off; approved time off must be included in request at submission
- Return staff policy requires a one-year gap between assignments
- Smoke-free campus policies are strictly enforced
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience required
- Current VA or compact state PT license must be in hand at time of consideration (License required if applicable)
- Graduation from an accredited PT program (ACEN or CCNE)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Two professional references required
