OVERVIEWServes the public and promote good customer relations reflecting the Bank’s community image. Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines. Processes a wide variety of transactions and sell products and services to service customers in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures. Provides guidance to and oversees the teller line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides efficient, effective and courteous customer service. Opens all types of accounts, including IRAs, and assists customers with any problems on existing accounts. Performs file maintenance of customer account information and processes requests.
- Performs a wide variety of transactions including processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, sale of bank checks, etc.
- Ensures that transactions are processed correctly and the proper documentation is completed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversees and schedules the daily activities of the teller staff. Provides on-the-job training as needed.
- Maintains updated knowledge of Bank’s products and services. Identifies and actively follows up on customer cross sale opportunities. Promotes the Bank’s products and services whenever possible. Makes referrals as appropriate.
- Orders cash supply for branch and ATM.
- Monitors cash levels to ensure conformance with established standards both at the teller level and with bulk cash stored in the vault. Oversees control of vault cash, maintains established procedures, and reports excess in cash.
- Responsible for ensuring ATM is balanced daily.
- Acts as back up to the Manager/Assistant Manager in their absence.
- Required to work at least 2 Saturdays per month and fill in at any office as needed.
- Performs related and unrelated duties as needed.
High School diploma or equivalent plus specialized course work in retail sales. At least two years of teller or related customer service experience. Good knowledge of the Bank’s products and services, IRA rules and regulations. Must be comfortable performing basic math procedures and have good customer service, communication, problem solving and organizational skills. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Technologically proficient. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
