We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in South Gate. This role requires an individual who is highly aware and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities, including removing trespassers, conducting hourly patrols, and working closely with local law enforcement as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform regular patrols of the premises on an hourly basis to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor surveillance systems and assess the premises for potential security risks or suspicious activities.
- Address and remove trespassers professionally, ensuring the safety of staff, customers, and property.
- Respond to calls for assistance, managing incidents and coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with questions or concerns while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Adhere to all security protocols and company policies to maintain a high standard of safety at all times.
- Proven experience in a security or law enforcement-related role.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfort with conflict resolution and enforcing security measures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
- Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- High attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to de-escalate confrontational situations while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Comfortable working with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Guard Card (Required)
- Powers to Arrest & Appropriate Use of Force Certification
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Security: 1 year (Preferred)
