Radioassay Technician
Type: Onsite | Temporary
Location: Southern California (multiple sites)
Position Overview: The Radioassay Technician is responsible for performing routine radioactivity measurements, maintaining laboratory instrumentation, and supporting quality control activities within a regulated laboratory environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to quality procedures, and flexibility to support multiple facilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine radioactivity and source measurements
- Conduct daily instrument checks, calibration, and maintenance
- Support radio assay activities within the Quality Management System
- Provide backup support for final quality control activities
- Assist with customer source complaints and calibration returns
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and filing
- Travel between local facilities as needed for training and operational support
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Associate degree in a technical field required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory, production, or operations environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation software (preferred)
- Experience supporting final quality control (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work overtime and travel between local facilities as needed
