The Role
The Health and Safety Manager partners with plant leadership, frontline teams, and the Senior Health and Safety Manager to strengthen a proactive safety culture. This role ensures regulatory compliance, leads key safety programs, and serves as the primary on-site resource for all health and safety initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing- Safety Leadership & Culture:
Champion a safety-first culture by engaging with employees, supervisors, and plant leadership to embed safe work practices into daily operations. - Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and other relevant health and safety standards. Conduct plant safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace hazard evaluations, recommending corrective measures as needed. - Incident Prevention & Response:
Lead accident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. Coordinate and facilitate safety training programs for all employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. - Collaboration & Partnership:
Work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to address safety concerns and develop practical, effective solutions.
- Bachelor
99s degree in occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field is preferred. - Three to five years of health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard assessments, and safety program implementation is essential.
- Experience in conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and developing corrective actions is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
