Quality Assurance Inspector (Temporary and for 2 nd Shift) Summary
Perform quality inspections on products and materials to ensure that they comply with the required standards of the company’s Quality Control Plan and customer specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on PCB assemblies, subassemblies, and finished electronic products.
- Inspect assemblies for solder quality, component placement, polarity, orientation, cleanliness, and workmanship according to IPC-A-610 and customer standards.
- Verify BOM, revision levels, and work instructions for accuracy and compliance.
- Use tools such as microscopes, magnifiers, calipers, multimeters and handheld measuring devices.
- Perform functional checks when required (continuity, resistance, simple test procedures).
- Ensure all work follows ESD safety requirements and procedures.
- Record inspection findings in quality logs, ERP systems, or inspection forms.
- Support root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
- Maintain traceability and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- High school or equivalent education.
- Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and BOMs.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to identify subtle defects.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, data entry, quality logs).
- Experience with using microscopes, magnifiers, and measuring tools.
- Understanding of soldering processes, electronic components, and PCB assembly flow a plus.
- Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 workmanship standards a plus.
- Manufacturing/production floor environment.
- May require sitting or standing for extended periods during inspections.
- Use microscopes and small tools daily.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
This position will be on 2 nd shift M-F 4PM to 12:30AM. It is an on‑going need but the selected person will be employed via CES’ staffing partner and not an employee of CES.
Starting Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00 Hourly
