This is a Full-Time 40 Hours Weekly position. Shifts run Sunday through Wednesday 3:30 p.m.–12 a.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. (off Thursday and Friday). The role involves operating and maintaining stationary equipment such as steam boilers to provide heat and power for buildings.

Operate and maintain stationary equipment such as steam boilers. Monitor the operation of boilers, pumps, motors, combustion control equipment, and other devices ensuring proper operation of a power boiler plant. Conduct fire extinguisher checks across campus and perform scheduled fire drills for the shift.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have knowledge of general building and facility maintenance, construction trades, and tools and equipment associated with the duties of the position. They should also be familiar with methods, tools, and equipment used in maintaining and repairing boilers and equipment, appropriate safety precautions, and regulating and adjusting operating controls.

Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Driver's license.
Additional InformationThis position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08. Successful applicants will be required to undergo a background investigation and abuse and neglect screening. A National Career Readiness Certificate is not required but may be submitted.
