Emergency/Urgent Care Technical Coordinator (ANML HEALTH TCHN 2 VMTH)
Under general direction of the Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Supervisor, the majority of this position will involve acting as a technical coordinator for the ECC and Urgent Care Services. Responsibilities include facilitating scheduling of ECC and Urgent Care patients for appointments, answering client phone calls to determine if their pet needs to be seen on an emergent or urgent basis, and facilitating transfer of cases to or from referring veterinarians when clinicians are not available.
Provide para veterinary technical support to the Small Animal ECC and Urgent Care Veterinarians.

Qualifications- Must possess a Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) or obtain within 3 months of date of hire.
- No minimum education requirement.
- Experience working in a Small Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant.
- Experience with animal restraint and blood draws.
- Experience communicating with clients and referring DVM.
- Interpersonal communication and customer services skills to clearly and effectively interact with individuals of varying ages, cultural backgrounds, perspectives to secure and/or provide information to clarify situations, resolve problems, make referrals, and interact with the general public in a helpful and positive manner.
- Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
- Experience in a small animal emergency or urgent care setting.
- Strong organizational skills.
- 60% – ECC and Urgent Care Service Support
- 40% – ECC and Urgent Care Technical Support

Compensation and Benefits- Salary range: $26.20/hr – $34.31/hr (bi‑weekly).
- Shift differentials available.
