As a Field Supervisor – Ammonia Refrigeration at IRPROS, you will lead project execution in the field, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors; enforce safety compliance; maintain clear communication across teams; and serve as the on‑site leader representing IRPROS values and professionalism.
This role requires extensive travel to customer sites nationwide, as projects are performed at industrial facilities across multiple states. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in dynamic environments, managing field operations on location, and adapting to varying project timelines and site conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead project crews and subcontractors to complete ammonia refrigeration field projects on schedule and within scope.
- Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor ongoing work and materials for quality control at all stages.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with project management, team members, and subcontractors to execute job duties efficiently.
- Perform daily job site inspections to ensure strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Maintain a written daily job log of key actions, materials used, equipment needs, and issues resolved.
- Identify and resolve conflicts, organize daily stand‑ups, and coordinate with project stakeholders.
- Set and enforce high standards for job site safety, organization, cleanliness, waste disposal, and environmental protection.
- Identify non‑compliance or operational deficiencies and provide actionable corrective recommendations.
- Prepare professional reports and correspondence to vendors, site supervisors, and project teams.
- Support customers, clients, and onsite visitors with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in industrial Ammonia Refrigeration environments with progressive responsibility (field or maintenance background strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to coordinate field activities, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards applicable to industrial ammonia refrigeration.
- Excellent technical reading comprehension (PNIDs, manuals, assembly and maintenance instructions).
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with clients, field teams, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify operational and compliance issues and propose solutions.
- Proficient with smartphone and tablet field technologies for documentation, communication, and reporting.
- Experience resolving demanding situations with customers, crews, or vendors.
- Supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial refrigeration or mechanical construction environment.
- Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and regulatory safety frameworks for hazardous refrigeration systems.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong problem‑solver with a customer‑first mindset.
