Speech Language Pathologist; SLP - Woonsocket, SD

Overview

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Huron, SD. This contract role is scheduled for the current school year (CSY), with an opportunity to start as soon as possible. The position entails working 37.5 hours per week, providing comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse student population across all K-12 grade levels.

• Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
• Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings to provide expertise on speech and language interventions.
• Stay current with best practices and maintain required certifications.

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required.
• Experience working within K-12 educational environments is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
