Position Overview
The Radiologic Technologist will provide diagnostic radiology services at the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center (WWKMHCC), serving the Lake Traverse Reservation community. This position requires delivering high-quality imaging for patients of all ages, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, Indian Health Service (IHS), and accreditation standards.
$80,000 - $90,000 a year
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of diagnostic x-ray examinations independently, ensuring optimal image quality for interpretation by the off-site Radiologist.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PACS/Digital Radiography systems for patient registration, exam processing, and image transmission.
- Provide mammography services as needed.
- Schedule patients for mammography, ultrasound, and DEXA exams.
- Conduct monthly Quality Assurance and Quality Control tasks as assigned.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and IHS guidelines.
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and professional conduct when interacting with patients and staff.
- Adhere to safety protocols for patient transport and radiographic procedures.
- Participate in Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and staff development activities.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Degree from an accredited radiology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the past 36 months
. - Proficiency with EHR systems and PACS technology.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and fingerprint clearances prior to start.
- Proof of immunizations:
Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, and current PPD within past year. - Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Experience working in an IHS or tribal healthcare facility.
- Mammography certification and experience.
- Familiarity with CMS regulations and ARRT continuing education requirements.
