Rural Health Care Physician at Philip Health Services

A rural healthcare physician's duties extend beyond standard medical practice to include providing comprehensive primary and emergency care, often acting as the primary point of contact for a wide range of health needs in a community. Their roles also involve community leadership, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and managing health programs, all while adapting to a broad scope of responsibilities that may include roles typically filled by specialists in urban areas.

• Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries in outpatients
• Providing primary care, which can include managing a wide spectrum of cases
• Responding to medical emergencies
• Prescribing and managing medications
• Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Performing minor procedures that might be handled by specialists in other settings
• Providing preventive care and counseling on diet, hygiene, and health maintenance

• Serving as a community leader and advocate for healthcare access
• Collaborating with mid-level providers like nurse practitioners and physician assistants
• Supervising and managing various health programs and activities
• Developing and interpreting guidelines and procedures for healthcare delivery
• Educating the community on health-related topics

Salary: $222,311 - $296,400 per year
