• Must be knowledgeable of and enforce Title 31 policies.
• Must be knowledgeable of and enforce Internal Controls, and policies and procedures in accordance with Tribal, State, Federal gaming regulations.
• Responsible for and safeguards all cash assets while on duty.
• Issues, receives, and verifies departmental banks.
• Completes paperwork legibly and correctly.
• Monitors all cash transactions and activities.
• Monitors all check cashing transactions to ensure staff adheres to check cashing policy.
• Responsible for sending deposits to the bank, except for weekends and holidays.
• Process slot jackpots/hand-pays in accordance with the internal controls.
• Issue W-2G and 1042S forms to customers.
• Issue Jackpot checks to eligible jackpot winners upon request.
• Will report Cage discrepancies to Surveillance, and/or Surveillance and SWO Gaming Commission per standard operating procedures.
• Will assist in training Cage Cashiers.
• Arrive on time for their scheduled shift, dressed appropriately and wearing employee badge in clear view.
• Willing to work extra hours to ensure the department functions smoothly.
• Must be capable of working independently and at times alone.
• Ability to effectively resolve problems within the Cage and outside.
• Ability to use sound independent judgment when needed.
• Exercise excellent customer service skills with customers and employees.
• Exercise excellent communication skills with customers and other departments.
• Regular attendance is an essential part of the position, must be very dependable.
• Will access and distribute keys to employees as needed.
• Will verify Drop and replenish cash to fill ATMs and Kiosk.
• Will perform maintenance and cleaning on the ATMs and Kiosk as needed.
• Will verify the opening and closing of Gaming Cashier and Sports book Banks.
• Will replenish cash and coin to fill the CDM and Bank Recycler as needed.
• Will perform maintenance and cleaning on the CDM and Bank Recycler as needed.
• Ensure the Cage has adequate office supplies to operate without interruption.
• Complies with all other duties assigned by the Cage Manager, Controller, and / or the General Manager.
