What You Can Expect

As a Wind BOP Technician you will operate and maintain the site, optimizing wind generation performance while prioritizing health, safety and environmental compliance. You will actively participate in the safety program and coordinate with service providers and contractors.

  • Communicate and enforce site safety rules through orientations, JSAs and meetings.
  • Operate and monitor site equipment, maintain reliability and conduct routine inspections.
  • Manage contractors and serve as the primary contact for landowners.
  • Troubleshoot and recommend improvements to plant performance; support operations at other sites during emergencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality, comply with legal obligations, and support wind and solar assets for planned and forced outages, which may require overnight stays.
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum high‑school diploma.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience and knowledge of solar generation, wind generation, thermal power, manufacturing or mining operations, or controls & industrial maintenance, with working knowledge of industrial electrical or substation equipment.
  • Willingness to obtain a substation technician certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
Additional Details
  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to client sites.
  • Daily attendance at a worksite is required.
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
  • Duty: 50 % indoor, 50 % outdoor depending on site needs; exposure to weather conditions.
  • May involve lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Compensation

Salary Range: $30.60 – $40.00 USD annually.

This is the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual salary may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, the position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan and emergency/on‑call pay.
