Mandatory qualification:
Master's degree in reading instruction OR advanced certification (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, or equivalent).

Alpha School offers the opportunity to execute an AI-powered reading program that reshapes early literacy instruction. You'll facilitate short, high-impact workshops instead of conventional hour-long blocks. You'll assess K-2 learners, build original evidence-based lessons from the ground up, and contribute to the development of adaptive tools that extend your impact to hundreds of students. What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops for 4-7 year olds that build foundational skills in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
- Creating personalized motivational sessions that engage children and foster a lifelong love of reading
- Reviewing student progress data to continuously improve your methods and generate actionable insights
- Partnering with the technology team to assess and refine AI literacy tools
- Following pre-scripted curricula or published scope-and-sequence materials
Key Responsibilities
Cultivate a love of reading in young learners
Basic Requirements- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Capable of assessing reading levels, grouping students, and creating differentiated instruction without relying on pre-written curricula
- Comfortable with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within those platforms
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Able to work on-site at one of our campuses:

Working with usThis is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
