Alpha School offers an AI‑powered reading program that redefines early literacy education. You'll facilitate short, high‑impact workshops instead of conventional hour‑long sessions. You'll assess K‑2 learners' needs, build original evidence‑based lessons without pre‑made curricula, and contribute to adaptive tools that extend your expertise to hundreds of students. This position is for reading specialists who excel beyond rigid frameworks and are ready to lead scalable literacy transformation.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Conduct adaptive reading workshops for children aged 4‑7 to build core skills in phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
- Create personalized motivational experiences that resonate with students and foster a lasting love of reading.
- Evaluating student performance data to refine instruction continuously and generate actionable insights.
- Partnering with the technology team to assess and improve AI‑powered literacy tools.
- Following pre‑scripted curricula or published scope‑and‑sequence programs.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing small‑group reading interventions to early elementary students.
- Capable of assessing reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without reliance on pre‑written curricula.
- Comfortable using AI/adaptive learning platforms and adjusting to student behaviors within them.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship requirements.
- Able to work on‑site at one of these campuses:

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position.
