Location: Artesian

Overview

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting, offering an opportunity to support students' communication needs from kindergarten through high school. This role is ideal for candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Location:

Artesian, SD (with an additional position available in Huron, SD)

Position Type:
Contract

Schedule:

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Duration:
Contract for both Current School Year (CSY) and End of School Year (EOSY)

Start Date:

ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required by school policies
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse speech and language disorders
  • Participate in meetings and professional development as needed
Qualifications
  • Valid SLP license or certification recognized for practice in South Dakota
  • Hold or be eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and families
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
