The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Lecturer in Counselling to make a significant contribution to teaching, research and clinical supervision within the Discipline.
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative academic who is committed to student success, scholarly excellence and meaningful engagement with industry and the community. This role offers the option to work remotely or in a hybrid work setting, subject to teaching, clinical supervision and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, practical classes and assessments across multiple delivery modes.
- Coordinating courses and units as required.
- Conducting clinical supervision and managing student placements within the counselling clinic.
- Designing and delivering authentic and innovative assessments.
- Undertaking high-quality research aligned with the Discipline’s research direction, including publications, grant applications, conference participation and HDR student recruitment and supervision.
You will hold a PhD in a relevant field (counselling, psychology or related discipline), with a demonstrated research profile including publications and HDR supervision. You will bring clinical experience in counselling and clinical supervision, along with proven capability to teach at the tertiary level, including online and distance education.
