As a member of a multidisciplinary team, your base will be in White Rock, BC, where you'll serve at the Oceanside tertiary facility and collaborate with the Rapid Access Clinic, Urgent Response Center, and Consultation Liaison service at Peace Arch Hospital. This role also requires participation in ER on-call and ECT on-call rotations at Peace Arch Hospital.

As a qualified or eligible Psychiatrist, you'll be expected to deliver top‑notch care to patients with acquired brain injuries and older adult patients served by the Fraser Health Geriatric Mental Health team, working within an interdisciplinary framework.

Responsibilities include consulting with Geriatric psychiatrists at the mental health center, actively engaging in outreach to patients' residences, and providing consultation to Assisted Living and Long‑Term Care facilities in collaboration with patients' attending physicians.

Your duties will encompass a wide range of services, including assessment, outpatient treatment, consultation, conducting family meetings, facilitating case conferences, discharge planning, and educating geriatric psychiatry residents and medical students.

Furthermore, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring continuity of care by fostering positive working relationships with all healthcare providers involved in patient care and advocating for the psychiatric needs of individual patients.

Participation in the ECT roster and ER on‑call roster is mandatory for this position.
