Tour Guide- Historic Adams - Deadwood, SD

Are you fun, passionate, and enthusiastic? Then we are looking for someone like you. We are seeking friendly and professional Tour Guides to provide visitors with an exceptional experience of the 134 year history of the Historic Adams House in Deadwood.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

The Tour Guide is responsible for providing an exceptional and meaningful tour for participants, of all ages. The position is seasonal with training beginning in March. Tours open to the public April through October. (

• Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills. Enjoy conversing with adults and children of all ages.
• Provide an exceptional tour.
• Promote the benefits and features specific to each of Deadwood History's museums and cross‑promote them.
• Be able to work some weekends and holidays.
• Operate a Point of Sale System (Shopify).
• Promote Gift Shop sales and restock merchandise, as needed.
• Follow open and closing procedures.
• Adhere to the manual, providing historically accurate information.

The duties of this position include standing for long periods of time, sitting, bending, kneeling, and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds; climbing stairs and walking over varied terrain; and exposure to outdoor elements is necessary, t be able to see, speak, and hear effectively.
