Overview
Abb Vie/ Allergan Aesthetics is seeking a field-based sales professional to execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance. Role requires placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating within Abb Vie’s code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
This geography covers the state of West Virginia and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed defined targets.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation; handle objections and questions, gaining logical and actionable calls to close on each sales interaction.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between Abb Vie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan with metrics to maximize access and sales opportunities through optimized coverage and frequency to key customers.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, disease areas, product, clinical and sales knowledge; share insights with in-field team, brand team, and sales management to align and adapt brand strategy.
- Differentiate Abb Vie’s value proposition with health providers, and identify and develop disease-state experts and speakers to maximize brand performance.
Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent industry experience; or five (5) years of relevant industry experience with three (3) years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry; high school diploma/GED required if no degree.
- Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approaches; strong communication to develop sales strategies.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment; offer innovative ideas to maximize opportunities; anticipate and respond to changes.
- Demonstrated in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; proficient use of business tools; credible and respected resource; ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
- Leads by example with positive behaviors; evidence of leadership and increasing responsibility at district/region levels.
- Preferred: proven sales success in respective therapeutic areas; pharmaceutical industry experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing;
English proficiency (verbal and written) for non-English-speaking contexts. - Essential HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
- HCIR requirements may include background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and licenses as required by state/city. You are responsible for satisfying HCIR requirements;

- This role is field-based; candidates should be within reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
- Key stakeholders:
External – specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses;
Internal – in-field team, Sales Management, Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, Brand Plan stakeholders.
- Compensation:
The posted base pay range is based on the job grade; final compensation depends on location and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. - Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
- This position is eligible for short-term incentive programs.
- Note:
No amount of pay is considered wages until earned, vested, and determinable. Bonuses, commissions, incentives, and benefits are at the Company’s discretion, subject to applicable law.
