Job SummaryAs a Parts Clerk at our Parts Distribution Center (PDC), you will take on responsibilities in parts inventory management and receiving & shipping. You will leverage your experience to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery to customers and internal stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities- Receive incoming parts shipments, verify contents against packing lists or purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory levels using computerized systems. Assist in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Pick parts from inventory based on customer orders or internal requests. Pack parts securely for shipment and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packing slips. Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely and accurate delivery of parts orders.
- Complete paperwork and data entry to record parts transactions, update inventory records, and maintain documentation of shipping and receiving activities.
- Inspect parts for quality and accuracy before shipping to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Manage parts inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies. Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and parts movement.
- Inspect parts for quality and accuracy before shipping to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of inventory management software and proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in parts management or logistics is beneficial.
- Proven experience in parts management, inventory control, or warehouse operations within a distribution center environment.
- Working conditions may include working outside of a climate-controlled environment for long periods of time.
- PPE is required while on production floors.
Walking, sitting, standing, crouching, and lifting up to 50lbs.
