By managing time slots, coordinating dock assignments, and monitoring carrier performance in real time, this specialist supports smooth logistics operations and protects the assembly and body shop from material shortages.

What

you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick‑up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Time Slot Management & Inbound Scheduling

  • Manage and control time slots for all inbound trucks through TMS or OEM scheduling portals.
  • Ensure carrier appointment schedules align with plant capacity, dock availability, and production demand.

Real‑Time Slot Steering

  • Steer carriers into optimal arrival windows based on daily logistics volume, road conditions, and plant constraints.
  • Adjust or reassign time slots dynamically to prevent congestion or delays at the truck control center.

Daily Inbound Flow Optimization

  • Maintain a balanced flow of trucks by staggering high‑volume deliveries and prioritizing critical‑part shipments.
  • Coordinate with in‑house logistics, receiving docks, and yard management teams to match truck arrivals with unloading capacity.

Carrier & Supplier Coordination

Carrier Communication

  • Serve as the primary communication point for carriers regarding time‑slot assignment, arrival instructions, delays, and contingencies.

  • Address issues related to late dispatches, missed appointments, or incomplete shipment documentation.

Performance Oversight

  • Track punctuality, carrier reliability, and adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Escalate recurring non‑compliance issues to procurement, material planning, or logistics leadership.

Monitoring, Tracking & Truck Flow Control

Real‑Time Tracking

  • Monitor inbound freight status using TMS, telematics, GPS data, yard‑management systems, and carrier updates.
  • Provide real‑time visibility to internal logistics teams, warehouse leaders, and production planners.

Dock & Yard Coordination
