• Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with production, sales and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time.
• Work safely to prevent on‑the‑job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times, including proper wearing of company PPE.
• Ensure vehicle is properly loaded, secured, and product is delivered safely and on time.
• Inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order.
• Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
• Load truck may require securing chains across the width of a trailer, tarping loads on trailers, dropping and hooking a trailer.
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday, which may include some overtime.
• Perform daily pre‑trip, inter‑trip, and post‑trip inspections.
• Be responsible for the delivery of products to customers, contractors, and jobsites throughout the geographic region.
• Set up a sideboard kit around the perimeter of the trailer floor.
• Use Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) during operation of vehicle; driver will be trained accordingly.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience required (flatbed hauling OTR experience preferred).
• No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years.
• No on‑road preventable accidents during the past 3 years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Successfully pass a company road test and have a clean driving record.
• Driver must be knowledgeable in DOT regulations and requirements.
• Frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, working with chains, dropping and hooking trailers, performing inspections, reaching with equipment throughout the shift.
• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions, including heat and cold weather.
• Must read, speak, and understand English in verbal and written communication.
• Pass required DOT and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by DOT.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required.
