A top digital consultancy that does custom mobile development is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join their team in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is a hybrid contract role with on-site collaboration required three days per week.
Role OverviewThis role is ideal for a seasoned Android engineer who enjoys working in complex, evolving codebases and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to problem‑solve in ambiguous environments.
A coding assessment will be a critical part of the interview process.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using modern best practices
- Contribute to and help guide technical design, architecture, and code quality standards
- Work across the full development lifecycle, including analysis, implementation, and documentation
- Collaborate with team members in a hybrid, team‑based development environment
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Lead by example—mentoring teammates while remaining hands‑on with development
- Navigate and improve complex or ambiguous legacy codebases
- 5–7+ years of Android development experience (7–10+ years welcome)
- Strong proficiency with Kotlin

- Kotlin Multiplatform
- Deep experience with Jetpack Compose (

- Work Manager

- Lifecycle

- Proven ability to perform well in coding assessments
- Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Experience leading or mentoring other developers
- Comfort working in large, complex, or loosely documented codebases
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in hybrid environments
