Under limited supervision, the Application Developer III (SharePoint Developer) serves as a technical lead in the design, development, and maintenance of the agency’s SharePoint Online, Office 365, and the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps). This includes designing and developing intranet solutions, custom layouts, workflows, and web parts. The role requires strong UI/UX design skills and the ability to create user-friendly, accessible interfaces.
Responsibilities also involve delivering modern, scalable solutions using SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tools, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to automate business processes, ensuring secure and accessible systems, and supporting the full software development lifecycle. The developer works closely with the IT team and leadership to shape and implement software development strategies, partnering with the Application Development team across all phases of development.
- High school diploma and work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, design and development of system software, and testing and debugging of system software.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in SharePoint Online development and building custom applications using modern programming practices, including object‑oriented design.
- Associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.
- Experience with C# or .NET development, including integration with external systems and services.
- Knowledge of gamification principles in application design.
