Position: Juvenile Program Coordinator (#019971) Young Offender Parole & Reentry, Columbia (RICHLAND)
Location: Columbia

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and monitors individualized treatment and case plans based on risk assessments and identified needs.

  • Plans and conducts all assigned individualized rehabilitative counseling services to include orientation, assessment, individual, group, and family counseling.

  • Documents all offender orientation, assessments, case management, crisis interventions, and other rehabilitative services in accordance with YOPRS policy and standards.

  • Works in conjunction with other state agencies and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, classification reviews, and reentry planning in addition to submitting monthly reports to collaborating agencies.

  • Assists in the transition and reentry process, including coordination of community referrals, educational placements, and aftercare services when needed.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements
: A high school diploma and relevant program experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

  • Employees must possess knowledge of psychology, sociology, human services and/or therapeutic techniques; appropriate communication, time management, and written/verbal skills, proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry and reporting.
