OverviewThe Electrical HTT Technician performs electrical heat treatment, using heating to extreme temperatures to achieve results such as hardening or softening of a material. This position executes heat treatment jobs on components in the refining, petrochemical, power and construction industries, ranging from small to medium size electrical projects, and may include other heat treat methods.
Essential Job Functions- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
- Performs duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM’s Core Values and 7 Critical Choices.
- Instructs assistants assigned to the project performing HTT duties.
- Completes setup and completion of heat treatment jobs.
- Conducts job walks and communicates requirements.
- Interfaces with clients and co-workers.
- Ensures jobs are completed in a timely manner and according to schedule.
- Instructs Assistant Technician on proper setup/tear-down of equipment and on routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Completes calibrations and overall equipment and facilities maintenance.
- Oversees project execution and daily tasks associated with providing industrial maintenance services.
- Completes proper documentation and reports of services provided.
- Learns and abides by heat treat procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Heat Treat experience preferred.
- Travel Requirements: 25% - 50%
- Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment and tolerance of climate changes.
- Interaction with other crew members, supervisors and client personnel.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- May be at more than one job site in a day and may be required to travel out of town.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing to communicate effectively.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- Sufficient mobility to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Mobility to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
