Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of manufacturing machinery and facilities related equipment.
Responsibilities- Installing conduit, pulling power and terminating into electrical panel.
- Installing Network Cable.
- Installing outlets and junction boxes.
- Troubleshoot & repair low voltage & 120V electrical circuits, including panel work.
- Painting, drywall, plumbing, cleaning, and general building maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance & reactive repairs on facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot failures involving multiple types of equipment and processes.
- Read mechanical and/or electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Determine root cause of failures and recommend preventive actions.
- Communicate recommendations, improvements, and findings verbally and via work order system.
- Maintain communication with internal customers regarding equipment status.
- Advise supervisor of needs for outside services and coordinate with service representatives on equipment and controls repair and installation.
- Show competency in several crafts and perform handyman aspects in all trades.
- Construct sketches of mechanical or construction alterations/installations and electrical circuitry.
- Prepare bills of material on jobs requiring major material use and initiate purchase requisitions.
- Use various material handling equipment such as hoists, carts, lifts, fork trucks and hand trucks to move light to heavy weight material.
- Use various lock‑out/tag‑out devices per plant LOTO plan.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience in running conduit, pulling wire, and terminating into electrical cabinet.
- Degree or certifications in Electrical/Mechanical skills (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience with industrial machinery preferred.
- Three (3) plus years of experience in Maintenance preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Basic electrical skills required.
- Comprehension of schematics/blueprints.
- Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Self‑starter and motivated to maintain building/machines to 100% uptime via strong preventative activities.
- Willingness to change, flex, and learn.
- Effective communication with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including telephone.
- Mobility within the work facility.
