Nuclear Field Electronics Technician
. Travel to multiple locations including nuclear plants.
- Perform work of equal or lower skill level as required.
- Perform a variety of electro-mechanical projects and assignments, following established procedures under the supervision of higher classified technicians and professionals.
- Develop an awareness of ALARA principles, specific security requirements, and the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.
- Complete basic and introductory training on all equipment, machines, and procedures required in the Machinist Electronics Technician Levels 1 & 2 criteria certification.
- Perform quality work during the fabrication, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment as defined in the work standard for the job.
- Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, repair, basic mechanical, electrical, welding, and hydraulic equipment. Work areas are often confined and under challenging conditions.
- Exercise skill and proficiency in the use of basic hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment.
- Operate machine tools, electrical test equipment, welding equipment, and measuring devices to the levels required in Electronics Technician Levels 1 & 2 Criteria of Certification, through training or demonstration of existing skills.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, and blueprints. Record data as required.
- Perform service responsibilities and maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 Years post high school degree or diploma or military training in electrical or electronics
- 3+ years of electronics experience troubleshooting & repair
- Travel Required
- Commitment to Safety
- Lift 50-60 lbs.
- Work 12 hour schedule on nights or days as assigned.
- Periodically work 6-7 days per week on site assignment.

- Base salary range for this position is estimated to be $80,000 - $120,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications.

- This position requires extensive travel (80%-90%) and working with and around hazardous materials
- This position is subject to the requirements of Westinghouse and customer security, unescorted access and fitness for duty programs at a nuclear plant location
