Security Officer - Cheraw PRN

Job Description

• Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co‑workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
• Assist in maintaining a quiet, safe environment at the assigned campus.
• Ensure that the area (post) assigned is secure.
• Investigate crime and traffic accidents.
• Provide assistance for patients, visitors and staff as requested.
• Perform specialty duties as assigned.
• Supervise and maintain traffic flow at the loading dock.
• Schedule dock time for special events.
• Maintain a log of all vehicles coming into and out of the loading dock on a daily basis.
• Provide escort of administrative staff to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Monitor/review playback of Health & Fitness Center camera system.

Work Schedule:

PRN, As Needed

• Must be 21 years of age (SLED Requirement) and complete SLED firearms qualification prior to employment.
• Pass the McLeod Health Psychological Evaluation prior to employment.
• Complete a ½ mile run prior to employment.
• Maintain annual SLED firearms certification.

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school.
• Receive security certification/registration from SLED by completion of training (Primary Basic and Primary Plus) within 90 days from hire.
• Possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Heartsaver certification within 90 days of hire.
• Monadnock Baton within 90 days of hire.
