As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Ridgeland, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points as needed, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and your team.

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalation, requesting assistance, and coordinating with on‑site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
• Monitor entrances, controlled areas, and common spaces; verify identification and/or authorization when required; and document entries, exits, and unusual activity per post orders.
• Complete timely reports such as incident logs, patrol reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
