Location: Columbia
Responsibilities
- Manage, distribute and maintain the security post orders for DOS/SCDC.
- Administer security audit process for Division of Security.
- Review/conduct announced/unannounced security inspections for DOS.
- Responsible for policy formulation and review for any and all policies related to the Division of Security.
- Assist STG Statewide Coordinator with duties as requested or needed.
- Assist with inmate release day for Institutions located on Broad River Complex.
- Assist in external security issues as requested/directed by Director of Division of Security.
- Responsible for collection of materials requested by legal.
- All other duties as required.
Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma and relevant supervisory experience. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required supervisory experience.
- A degree in criminal justice or a related degree may substitute for supervisory experience year for year (associate and above = 2 year).
Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
