About The Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity, working within a unique retail environment for a market‑leading business? Arco have a fantastic opportunity for a part‑time Branch Sales Advisor to join the team, working from our store in Carlisle on a Saturday morning. As a Branch Sales Advisor you will deliver high levels of customer service, actively drive sales activity, improve customer loyalty and grow Arco’s profitability.
The Branch Sales Advisor role is a part‑time position, working on Saturday morning each week for 4 hours. Don’t worry if you don’t know much about the health and safety industry or personal protective equipment (PPE); we’ll teach you all there is to know and provide a platform to learn, develop and grow.
Responsibilities- Providing high levels of customer service and building strong customer relationships
- Supporting opening accounts, providing quotations and customer account management
- Driving sales through customer calling, leaflet distribution and other sales activity
- Managing cash in line with company policies and procedures, including cashing up, processing refunds and supporting banking collection
- Following merchandising principles, including pricing, campaign set‑ups and ensuring product displays are well maintained
- Assisting with stock control, including processing deliveries, click and collect, and actioning weekly stock counts
- Supporting branch operations including stock preparation, stock management and restocking of customer sites where required
- Complying with and advocating for Health & Safety and Security at all times
- A starting salary of £12.60 plus bonus

- Experience working face‑to‑face with customers, preferably in a retail environment
- Experience of sales, either over the phone or face‑to‑face
- Strong IT skills;
Microsoft Word, Excel etc., and the ability to learn new software - Driving licence required
