Overview

Dock Star Industrial, a leader in loading dock and material handling solutions, is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our headquarters team in Andrews, SC. The position supports field sales and drives business growth by qualifying leads, providing product guidance, nurturing prospects, and maximizing sales opportunities through digital and legacy channels. This is a key role in accelerating revenue and strengthening customer relationships as Dock Star scales nationally.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Lead Qualification & Nurturing:
    Act as the first responder for all incoming sales leads—via calls, web forms, chat, and trade shows. Manage and build the sales pipeline, qualify prospects, and facilitate warm hand-offs to Regional Account Managers (RAMs) to enable focused outside sales activity.
  • Market Intelligence:
    Research and build account and project intelligence using tools such as Zoom Info, Lead Lander, Hub Spot, Linked In, and Building Connected. Collaborate with RAMs to support account and project targeting for field visits and territory management.
  • E-Commerce Support:
    Serve as a product expert and customer resource for the Dock Star ecommerce storefront, supporting incoming customer inquiries, web chats, and order-related communications.
  • Appointment Setting & Scheduling:
    Assist with proactive outreach and appointment setting for RAMs, including contractor engagements and Lunch & Learn events.
  • Sales Administration:
    Use CRM tools (Hub Spot, Glean Quote) to track activities, update sales records, generate sales quotes, and ensure smooth, timely hand-offs to the RAMs.
  • Customer Service:
    Deliver exceptional phone and email communication, supporting order follow-up, customer onboarding, and referrals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, sales, marketing, or related field) OR 5+ years of professional inside sales experience, ideally in manufacturing, material handling, or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical aptitude and experience with CRM and sales enablement platforms (Zoom Info, Hub Spot, Linked In, MS Outlook/Teams, etc.).
  • Positive team orientation, high level of initiative, and attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Salary:
    Range dependent on experience and qualifications.

Location and Schedule
  • Preferred location for position is based on-site at Dock Star Industrial HQ, Andrews, SC.
