Inside Sales Representative – Carter Lumber

We’re looking for a customer‑focused Inside Sales Representative who can be the face of our store and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. The ideal candidate develops relationships with customers, shares product information, and uses your sales skills to help clients accomplish their building projects.

When a customer walks in, you will assist them by:

• Providing product information and project advice
• Producing estimates for packages/projects
• Processing transactions and handling the POS system
• Following up on online customer quotes
• Cold‑calling to qualify new leads
• Supporting Outside Sales Reps as needed
• Assisting with inventory control (cycle counts, resolving overages/shortages)

• Experience in sales or customer service
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Effective communication skills
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required
• Team‑player attitude
• Ability to meet sales and profit goals
