Position Summary

A Part-Time Sales Associate is expected to drive sales and build customer relationships through excellent customer service and selling techniques. Responsibilities include product merchandising, sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The key focus areas are customer service, sales, and teamwork.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge, meet customer needs, and sell appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers, demonstrating enthusiasm for the job and company.
• Follow all company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Ensure visual standards are met, conduct daily restocks, and represent adequate size runs per visual directions.
• Help prevent employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and organized sales environment.
• Assist in keeping the store organized as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to fulfill all essential duties. Requirements include:

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent command of English for effective communication.
• Basic fashion and trend knowledge, with a desire to work with customers.
• Problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and interpersonal skills to provide excellent service, inventory control, and store maintenance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods; lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Work extended hours during critical phases; adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation is required.
