Now Hiring NDT Weld Inspectors (CWI's preferred but not required)

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Welding Quality Inspectors to meticulously check and inspect all welds and fits. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints to ensure welds are of high quality and sound dimensionally. You will perform both visual
, ultrasonic
, and magnetic inspections. Preferred candidates will have certifications in MT, UT, as well as AWS certifications D1.1, D1.5, and D1.8.
Experience in steel manufacturing quality is essential

Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections of welds and fits.
  • Read blueprints proficiently to ensure the quality of welds.
  • Perform visual inspections of welds and fits to ensure they are dimensionally sound.
  • Utilize ultrasonic testing techniques to assess weld quality.
  • Proficiency in quality inspection and assurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of visual and ultrasonic inspection methods.
  • Experience in steel manufacturing quality.
  • Maintain certifications in MT, UT, and AWS standards D1.1, D1.5, and D1.8.
  • CWI certifications in MT, UT.
  • AWS certifications: D1.1, D1.5, D1.8.
  • Familiarity with construction and quality check processes.
  • Experience with CMM, GMP, and audit processes.
Job Details
  • 90-day Contract-to-Hire
  • Location :
    Columbia, SC 29201
  • Pay : $25 - 38/hr
  • Pay depends solely on relevant experience, and level of NDT Certifications
  • Shift / Schedule :
  • Mon - Thur: 5am - 5pm
  • Friday: 5am - 1pm
  • Saturday: 5am - 1pm (during high production periods)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
