Pay Range: $30.00/hr - $38.00/hr

South Carolina ENT (SCENT), an ambulatory surgery center and affiliate of SENTA Partners, provides comprehensive care in ENT and sleep medicine to the greater Columbia community. The RN – Pre-Op/PACU is responsible for preoperative assessment, postoperative recovery care, and quality improvement initiatives. The role primarily supports the PACU department, with occasional Pre‑Op assistance as needed.

• Takes ownership of patient pre‑ and post‑surgery, including assessment, surgical orders, and documentation.
• Monitors vital signs, pain control, fluid intake/output, etc.
• Reports abnormalities to anesthesiologist and/or surgeon as needed.
• Provides post‑surgery care education to patient and family.
• Performs chart reviews before charts are completed and scanned into the practice software.
• Participates in quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensures equipment is operational and reports issues.
• Completes required quality and maintenance logs.
• Clears equipment and restocks for next day’s surgeries.
• Reports supply needs and low inventory to Charge Nurse.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws, AAOA and company policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

  No Call, No Weekends

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably outpatient or specialty clinic.
• At least 1 year experience in PACU required.
• BLS, CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical skills with ENT knowledge.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Team‑oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
