* ** Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room*
* ** A Brief Overview
** The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on AORN standards of care and professional nursing practice: accountable for outcomes of nursing care delivered.

** What you will do
*** Prepares patients for surgery and addresses their concerns.
* Ensures the operating room is sterile, and secure necessary supplies and instruments for surgery.
* Hands over medical supplies to attending surgeons during operations.
* Monitors patients’ physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum, and observes patient vital signs.
* Informs attending surgeon of issues and anomalies.  
** Education Qualifications
*** Associate's Degree in Nursing. (ADN) Required
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. (BSN) Preferred
* Master's Degree in Nursing. (MSN) Preferred  
** Experience Qualifications
*** Previous experience in an acute care critical care setting Preferred  
*
* Skills and Abilities

*** Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.
* Knowledge of equipment and appropriate use
* Knowledge and compliance in the Universal Protocol
* Knowledge of proper patient positioning  
** Licenses and Certifications
*** Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing with South Carolina Board of Nursing Required
* Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire and recertification every two (2) years Required
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
