Lexington Oncology Associates, part of Lexington Health, a leading healthcare provider in South Carolina, is seeking a dedicated Oncology Infusion Nurse to join our full‑time outpatient medical office program. Job Summary

This position administers chemotherapy infusion nursing care to patients in an office setting. The RN delivers quality cancer care under physician orders and supervision, implementing the nursing process in accordance with professional standards and agency policy.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN or higher)
  • Minimum of 2 years acute‑care nursing experience
  • Current RN license in South Carolina
Required Certifications & Licensure

BLS and CPR certification (mandatory); preferred OCN, ACLS and PALS.

Required Training

Proficiency in infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, PICC/VAD/Hickman line care and maintenance.

Essential Functions
  • Process chemotherapy orders, notify physician of patient needs and condition changes.
  • Document all chemotherapy dosing and infusion care in the EHR.
  • Maintain billing documentation and perform drug interaction checks (drug/drug, drug/allergy, drug/diagnosis, drug/gender).
  • Determine individual nursing needs and re‑evaluate patient condition regularly.
  • Provide patient and family education and support; insert cannulas, administer IV solutions and medications, monitor infusion sites.
  • Evaluate patient response to therapy.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Refer patients to social workers, financial counselors, dietitians, and breast‑cancer navigators as appropriate.
  • Prepare clinical records and progress notes promptly.
  • Handle hazardous waste and pharmaceuticals in compliance with RCRA regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
